We have been advised that the road leading to the Point Impossible car park will be closed from Tip Road over the winter months to protect the unsealed road. The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee has contacted the ANF & TAN to ask that the following information be disseminated to Naturists.
“The Point Impossible Nudist Beach car park will be temporarily closed over winter due to poor road conditions. The seasonal road closure is planned from the long weekend in June through to the end of October.
Tip Road will be closed to all vehicles for visitor safety and to prevent further road erosion during the wetter months as rain softens the tracks, making them more exposed to increased damage. It is important to obey all signs in the area for public safety as the road is slippery and boggy during the wet months.
Pedestrian access to the optional dress beach is still available from the Point Impossible Car Park or Whites Beach (about a 15-minute walk).
Once water recedes and conditions start improving, the Great Ocean Road Coast Committee will assess the road condition and conduct any necessary repairs before road is re-opened to the public.”
On the plus side It is great that they see the ANF and TAN as a way to reach out to the Naturist community and that they want to ensure that the naturists who are the primary users of the beach are informed of this temporary road and car park closure.
